Cookies

In this section, we explain how we use cookies and similar technologies (collectively referred to as "cookies") to recognize you when you visit our Platform.

What are cookies?

Parties that set third-party cookies can recognize your device both when it visits the relevant website and when it visits certain other websites.

Cookies can also be classified as session cookies (which are deleted as soon as you close your browser or turn off your device) and persistent cookies (which remain even after you close your browser or turn off your device/application and are activated each time you visit the site). Session cookies use encrypted data to authenticate you, and persistent cookies do not store account numbers or passwords. We use both session and persistent cookies

Why Do We Use Cookies?

We use first- and third-party cookies for several reasons. Some cookies are required for technical and/or security reasons for our Platform to function, and we refer to them as "essential" or "strictly necessary" cookies. First-party cookies are primarily used to enable basic functionality on our Platform, including web analytics cookies that help us understand how users interact with our webpages and how we can improve their use. For example, we use essential or strictly necessary cookies to enable us to remember items added to your shopping cart on the Platform and recognize you when you log in to your account.

Additionally, we use social media cookies. You can sign up for Platform membership and share platform content via social media such as Facebook and X. We sometimes embed videos from websites such as YouTube. These websites have their own privacy policies that govern their use of information, which you can find on the respective websites.

We also use cookies to enable us to track and target Platform visitors’ interests to enhance their experience on our Platform by researching visit patterns and conducting interest-based advertising, helping our partners track user visits to platforms, and tracking progress and engagement in promotions. We use both first- and third-party cookies for these purposes.

Tracking Technologies and Other Web Beacons

Cookies are not the only way to recognize or track visitors to our Platform. We may use other, similar technologies from time to time, such as web beacons (sometimes called "tracking pixels" or "GIFs"). These are small graphics files that contain a unique identifier that enables us to recognize when someone has visited our Platform or opened an email we sent them. This allows us, for example, to monitor user traffic patterns from one page on our Platform to another, deliver cookies or communicate with them, understand whether you arrived at our Platform through an online ad displayed on a third-party website, to improve site performance, and to measure the success of email marketing campaigns. In many cases, these technologies rely on cookies to function properly, and so declining cookies will impair their functionality.

How Can I Control Cookies?

Since the methods for rejecting cookies via web browser controls vary from browser to browser, you should visit your browser’s help menu for more information. Some features of the Platform rely on cookies, so please be aware that if you choose to block cookies, you may not be able to log in or use those features, and preferences that depend on cookies may be lost.

Google Analytics (More Information): Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google. Google cookies allow us to analyze the use of the Platform by informing us about the pages our users view, which pages are most popular, what time of day our Platform is visited, whether users have visited our platform before, and from which site web users are redirected to our site. The data generated by the cookie about your use of the Platform will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States.

The Platform uses an IP anonymization tool so that IP addresses are truncated within the territories of member states of the European Union and other members of the European Economic Area Agreement. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transferred to Google’s servers in the United States and then truncated there.

  • Google uses the data on behalf of the Platform to evaluate your use of the Platform, compile reports on website activity for website operators, and provide other services related to internet usage. Google may disclose this information to third parties under legal provisions or for processing by third parties on behalf of Google. For more information about Google Analytics cookies, please visit Google’s privacy policy page.

  • The IP address transmitted by your browser to Google Analytics will not be linked to any other data stored by Google. You can block cookies through your browser settings, but this may lead to problems using some site functions. You can also opt out of Google Analytics through your current web browser.

IP Address: When you visit websites, the server used by our web host will log your IP address, the date and time of your visit, the type of internet browser you are using, and the URL of any website that referred you to our site.

Web Surveys: Our online web surveys enable us to collect specific information regarding issues such as your feedback on the look and feel of our website. Additionally, we may request information about various elements of our customer service. Your feedback is vital and appreciated, as it enables us to improve the quality of customer service we provide. Providing your name and other details is entirely optional.
