CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY:
Dihydroxy aluminium sodium carbonate is a useful antacid which reacts chemically to neutralize gastric acid increasing pH of the stomach, thus providing symptomatic relief of hyperacidity. The compound provides both the rapid effect of Dihydroxy aluminium moiety. It also absorbs substances which can damage the mucous membranes e.g. bile acids. Simethicone is a gastrointestinal protective agent with anti foaming action. It is used for treatment of problems due to excess gases such as flatulence, gastric bloating, post operation distension.
